MOT Prep

This years MOT Prep:

  • Loosen off and re-grease front calipers
  • Clean up pinch welds (stone chips)
Read for work on the front brakes

Brakes loosened off fine (they were binding again last year). Cleaned up, fitted new seals, greased and reassembled.

While jacked up, there were more patches from stone chips than I’d first thought, so took to wire-brushing back to metal, protecting then painting.

Time for a clean up and then off to the MOT station:

Unfortunately, it failed on a leaking front shock absorber (drivers side)! So back in the garage while I plan how to proceed
